5 Tips For Making Selling Your Home A Breeze

Every homeowner knows that the thought of selling your house can be overwhelming when you first get started. There are many tasks and steps that need to be completed as you mentally and physically prepare for the big day. However, it doesn’t have to be such a painful and stressful process if you follow these five tips that can help make selling your home a breeze!

Home Preparation

The first thing you will want to do is start with the necessary decluttering, deep cleaning and repairs. Remove all unnecessary belongings from each of your rooms, give the entire home a deep cleaning and take care of anything that may need fixing. Give buyers the idea that the home has been well maintained.

Staging

Once the home is clean and things are in proper working order, now is the time to tackle your home staging. This means you will want to have just the right amount of things in each room, nothing displayed that is personal and have each room staged for its intended use. Stow away that exercise bike and make sure the bed is set up and made in the guest room for example. All furniture should be scaled appropriately for the room’s size as well.

Hire an Experienced Agent

Once the basics are finished then it is time to engage with an experienced agent such as myself. I can help with furnishing you with important information about the current market in your area, work with finding the best list price and also discuss any further home updates that may assist with selling your home quickly and for top dollar.

Negotiate

These days multiple offers are still happening here and there. If they are not coming in at the same time, additional ones may come pretty quickly thereafter. When you get an offer there is almost always some room for negotiation. Also keep in mind that the perfect deal isn’t always just about the price being paid. Create your negotiations to get what you need which may also mean a timeframe that fits your next move.

Prepare For Paperwork

There is a lot of paperwork involved in a home sale transaction. Be prepared to deal with this from listing contract to offer, to purchase and sale to closing day documents. So long as you have all of your information ready and all of your ducks are in a row, it should not be too challenging to deal with. I can always be your guide for any questions that you have along the way!
